The Crescent Network is live! This article is a full step by step guide that aims to present the project as well as showing you how to stake your $CRE tokens.
Let’s start👇
🌙 What is Crescent?
Crescent is a DeFi Hub owned by $CRE holders that offers three core activities:
Crescent DEX
The Crescent DEX is an hybrid DEX that combines automated market making (AMM) with orderbook for capital efficient trading. Link for the app is: https://app.crescent.network/swap
The DEX provides many functionalities such as:
LP Farming: Earn rewards by providing liquidity on the major liquidity pools. The DEX focus its farming rewards on major pairs to have the deepest liquidity for the main tokens in the Cosmos Ecosystem. Therefore the trading cost (slippage) would be one of the most competitive of the ecosystem.
Liquid Staking: Stake $CRE to receive $bCRE (bonded $CRE with a 14-days unbonding period) that can be deposited into liquidity pools. By doing that, you will earn staking rewards as well as farming rewards on top.
Range Liquidity: The Range Liquidity is a system similar to Uniswap V3.
Note: Crescent DEX would be the only activity available at launch. The DEX will have zero swap fee for at least more than 1 year.
2 & 3. Crescent Derivatives & Boost:
Both Crescent Derivative & Boost will provide Crescent DEX LP providers ways to hedge and leverage the LP position so that LP investors can tailor their risk-return profile. You will be able to create different sophisticated strategies, such as market neutral strategies with amplified farming rewards.

💰 What is Staking?
Staking is the process of locking up a digital asset to provide economic security for a public blockchain. You have the superpower to contribute to the network’s security and it grants you the right to vote on proposals and make decisions on the future of the blockchain.
When the staking transaction is complete, rewards will start to be generated immediately. At any time, stakers can send a transaction to claim their accumulated rewards.
Staking rewards are generated and distributed to staked holders in two ways:
Through transaction fees collected by the network and distributed to stakers.
Through the inflation rate, the total supply is inflated to reward stakers.
⚠️ Holders that do not stake do not receive rewards, meaning their capital gets diluted over time.
Staking is not risk-free. If a validator has downtime or underperforms, a percentage of tokens delegated to them may be forfeited. To mitigate these risks, it is recommended that holders delegate to multiple validators.
